A huge congratulations to Stefan Eccles who came back from the AFBJJ National Championships with a gold, a silver and a bronze medal for his hard work.

Sore sore sore is the only way to describe how most of us pulled up after 9 hours of training with a super pumped Daniel Lima on the weekend.  Daniel had only returned from training in Brazil a few days earlier where he was graded through to 2nd Degree Black Belt (a very big deal in BJJ) and also saw two of his students from Mackay get a Gold and a Bronze in the World Masters BJJ Championships.

We have posted out a heap of invitations to loads of clubs around Queensland and the response has already been really good.  It looks like we may have people coming up from the Gold Coast and Brisbane and also coming down from Townsville.

The local SKIA Shotokan Karate club is hosting the annual "Shotokan Week" event right here in Gladstone this year and it will be worth checking out if you are interested in other types of martial arts.

I am very sorry for the delay in getting a report to you on Geordie's second visit on the weekend but I got quite sick (another infection) during his visit and have been in bed all week.  We had a better turnout for his visit this time, probably because everyone had more than a few days notice, and everyone thought the day was brilliant.
