Eilleen and Luke are fighting this Saturday in Rockhampton and we would love to see heaps of Gladstone supporters screaming for them.  Check the poster below for full details:

Luke and Tekan, our fighting couple, have been matched to fight in Brisbane on the 7th of November.  It will be Tekan's first fight and Luke's third and the first time they get to fight on the same show. 

As I say in my BLOG this week, sometimes a loss is really a win.  Although Hayden and Matthew both lost their fights on Sunday at the Gold Coast, they both fought very well in what turned out to be extremely tough matches.

It is taking a lot longer than I would like, but the gym is coming together slowly and last weekend we got stuck in and got a lot done.  The latest improvements include:

It is on - Eilleen is fighting the World Kickboxing Association (WKA) Australian Feather Weight Title in Sydney on the 2nd of November.

Matty Martin and Hayden Vock (14 years old) have been training really hard and are looking fit and sharp for their Mixed Martial Arts fights this weekend on the Gold Cost.

Some very dissapointing news for Martial Arts in Gladstone.  The founder and instructor of the Boyne Tannum Kyokushin Karate club - Sensei Ron Jorgensen - has relocated back to Victoria and I have heard that his club will be closed.

I didn't think we had a chance but Scott Petrey said we should have a go.  So I made copies of the entry forms for our members to fill out.  We had a great response and got loads of nominations forms back but I still didn't think we were in it.

Daniel Lima has sent through the registration/entry forms for his BJJ tournament being held on the Gold Coast.  The date has been set for the 19th of October and I would like to take a team down to represent our gym.

Yep, we have bought the trip forward a year and are heading off to Thailand to train and fight on December 12.
