It was a sticky and humid start to Saturday morning and I was dripping with sweat just from doing some last minute cleaning in the gym - and that was at 7.30 in the morning!  I new it would be a tough day for the kids during their belt evaluations but they all stepped up, pushed on through the heat and humitidy and succeeded in their goals for the day.

I gotta tell you, not many people thought Eilleen could do it but there are a lot more believers out there now.  I had recieved support from a few people who thought Eilleen could beat Heather but not much and most of the talk was that Eilleen was going to suffer her first real loss - and in a big way.

Stefan Eccles has had a HUGE year with one grappling competition after another and has got stronger and better results with each one. 

It wasn't a win but Luke performance on the 15th of November on the Sunshine Coast "Detonation 2" Fight show was a definate crowd pleaser.

Tekan came up with an outstanding performance on the 7th of November to win her very first Muay thai fight in Brisbane. 

WOW!  How do I even start this entry?  I am still trying to come down and get my head around the mind blowing stuff we did on the weekend.  The Senshido seminar we attended in Sydney on the weekend was the most amazing training experience of my life - bar none.

The week ended with our new Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coach, Daniel Lima flying in for the day to take a short workshop to take us through some BJJ basics to get us head in the right direction.  The 3 hour session covered:

For the second time in two months, the Gladstone Fight Club travelled to the Gold Coast in December to compete at the Inspirit Challenge Mixed Martial Arts Challenge.

Eilleen and Bradley had the best preparation possible for our local fight night when they travelled to the Gold Coast to fight on only 5 days notice.

WOW!  What an amazing day of action.  A brilliant effort by all competitors who fought hard and gave away nothing.  All matches were very close and the instructors did a great job preparing their students for the day.
